MOSSY POINT.
In the 1940s (Frederick) Christian Banks built three cottages that ended up with his three children Billy (12 Surfside Avenue), Irene (14 Surfside Avenue) and Sylvia (near the junction of Annetts Parade and Beach Road).
Billy was a bricklayer, he married Ed Clark's sister Wyn, see the entry for Ed Clark in the A to Z page. Irene married a Hincksman.

Mr. F. C. Banks
A master builder in the construction days of Canberra died at Moruya last week. He was Frederick Christian Banks, formerly of Flinders Way, Griffith.
The late Mr. Banks retired from active building two years ago, and made his home at Mossy Point on the South Coast. He was aged 74 at the time of his death.
Mr. Banks arrived in Canberra more than 25 years ago, and among the important jobs he undertook were additions to Parliament House, Barton Court flats and the building of many houses throughout the city area.
The late Mr. Banks is survived by a widow, a son and two daughters.
