This was The Little Shop. The store sold Ampol petrol and kerosene and 'general store' goods, but the range was not as comprehensive as was at the Post Office Store. Run by Russ Lander in the late 1940s (see the entry for Lander in the A to Z page). At that time the store's phone number was Mossy Point 1. |

Charlie Milwain took it over probably around 1951 (see the entry for Milwain in the A to Z page).
Mr and Mrs Ross about 1956 to about 1959, he committed suicide there.
Lastly, Dudleys. Claude and May although Claude was rarely seen in the shop, but at busy times children Fay, Joy, Gordon and Colin were there. The store was closed 1967-68, when it became a residence until it burned down in about 1970. See the page for Dudley.
