McLaren Family
Beth McLaren tells us:
My family first visited Mossy Point in January 1950. My Mum purchased the Groom fibro and steel cottage in Surfside Avenue. I can confirm it 's address was 11 Surfside Avenue. It wasn't demolished until the early 80s when my brother built a house on the block. He is still the owner of the property.
Meanwhile the McLaren family had purchased 130 Annetts Parade from Mrs Dross who, with her husband, had built a home in the 1970's. My husband and I now own this property.
Next door (at 128) was a house built by the Alley family named Bencubbin. The Alleys sold and bought a house on the river. The new owners have since demolished the original house and rebuilt.
